Banana Pancakes

Ingredients
6 tablespoons (3 oz/85 g) butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups (7 1/2 oz/215 g) all-purpose (plain) flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 small, very ripe banana, peeled
1 cup (8 fl oz/240 ml) milk
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (essence)
maple syrup and sliced bananas, for serving

Equipment
measuring cups, spoon & scale
cutting board & table knife
small saucepan
wooden spoon
pot holder
mixing bowls
table fork
rubber spatula
griddle
metal spatula



1. Cut the butter into 3 equal pieces. Put 2 of the butter pieces into the small saucepan and set the remaining piece aside
